This one came out better, but I had a sod of a time trying to find some words to fit the flower theme. I might be continuing these cards- I have plenty of flowers but its tying them together with some stamps and various layers that take all my time and brain effort.
Another swap at AFA has intruiged me- a Collage with Layers- so I am playing with some mixed media pieces while trying to catch up. Days off are all well and good when the muse strikes- when she doesn't? Forget it. It took me several attempts just to do this.....
So, along came someone with the idea for this week's theme- Chili Peppers. Now, if I'm going to draw something like that, I need a reference- so I had to buy some from the supermarket. But I can't just buy one or two- I had to buy 100g. Which worked out to 10 chili peppers and cost me one quarter of a euro.
Four of them turned red and six are green so I guess I might be getting some more painted and drawn to get my moneys worth! Of course, I might dry some of them too so that I can cook with them later!
Here is my third card for the Postage Stamp swap. There are some amazing postage stamps out there- I have been lucky enough to get some in the post- but some of them are so intricate! Sometimes it is just too hard to pick just one to draw!
This was from a stamp from Norway released in 2005. It may look quite plain but there is a special, almost holographic ink detail on the stamps to deter fraud. Obviously I couldn't paint that!
Another badly scanned card. I must find the proper software! This is getting irritating now without decent software to play with the scanned images.
This one is a Dunlin- a migratory bird- from a series of stamps issued in Romania in 1991.

I have been inspired by the lovely Lemurkat to try some Postage Stamp cards. If I can get three cards made and find some more of my unused American stamps I can sign up for another swap!
This card is from a 1991 GB stamp issue celebrating CEPT with the theme of Europe in Space. The GB issued four stamps in this set- two with the theme of looking out into space and two with the theme of something in space looking at us. My card is one of the looking at space cards.
I have too many postage stamps and looking closer at them- some are so complicated it would be impossible to copy the fine detail! I can but try!
A card for a fellow member of AFA- we decided on a trade ages ago and I am trying to get them made for her now. *sigh* I am so bad.
From her profile, she likes Purple, Humour and Poetry- so I combined them with a cow! I know she doesn't like Cute so I am hoping she thinks it more funny than cute!
